I just bought a lamb

Seriously, I bought a lamb from my neighbor and I will probably get somewhere between 30-40 pounds of meat.

I know my neighbor and I know he feeds his lambs with great care, so I know I'll get first class meat.

Have anyone else done this? How many meals do you get from 30 pounds of lamb? I don't even know how they cut it, but I guess I will get a couple of steaks, two lamb shanks, a few coutlets and...heck, I really have no idea. Now what have I done! *LOL*

You shoul get this alsl:

You may want to ask how it will be cut, if it will be cut at all!

Two shoulders, two leg of lambs, plus two shanks, two Racks of lamb, or a multiple of lamb chops (make sure they cut the chine off the racks so you can cut racks into chops if you don't have them cut into chops at firs)

Lamb neck meat, lamb toungue. . .

I know it will be cut - I'm just trying to plan ahead *LOL*. I think I'll skip the tongue, tho...

Toungue is just another muscle. . .

And can be pretty tasty cooked like potroast. Heart is good too.

I have seen recipes for lamb kidneys, but that don't float my boat.

I guess you could also roast the head but I'ma guessin that don't float your boat OR mine!

Depending on the gender of your lamb, I have several French recipes for "frivolites"

I can't vouch for them personally, LOL.
