Followed the recipe but...
Added dark rum per Angie/AK
Added minced candied ginger per Erin
Added extra nutmeg per Marge/CA
Didn't toast the walnuts per mistral
Added ground coriander and Seeds of Paradise per me.
Used four organic red pears...baked in 13x9" pan for 63 minutes. Perfect.
Now I'm going to cut a slice, wrap it up and store it for 2 weeks because Marge begged SOMEONE to try it after it had ripened/aged. Will let you know.
I just LOVED not having to peel those pears.
