I'm in the market for a new Breadmaker too (I think). My Oster, which I had for many years and
loved finally "went". I have a new "Goldstar Automatic Breadmaker" which I won at a church raffle about a year ago. I've tried twice to make bread in it. Each time when I take it out I can tell that the bread rose but fell again. The instructions in the book says to use 2 tsp yeast - I've cut it down to 1-1/2 tsp.
I used Fleischmann's Quick-Rise Instant Yeast which I have used in bread machine for years.
Never heard of Goldstar soooo if I get a new one, what is the difference between the $100 and $300+ ones (other than $200 LOL). The only thing I really want is the bread to be loaf shape which my Oster wasn't. Appreciate any suggestions.
