I knew it was going to be a rough day when the squirrel ran away with my

They must be like my squirrels - haven't gotten into natural organic foods yet......

They are eating my deck railing - wood preservatives and all even though they have 5+ acres of natural woods around the house - guess they aren't into eating local and organic.

The DJ around here talks about them all the time because they outsmart everything and everyone. He says they are man-eating squirrels and will outlive all of us even through a nuclear war. I think I might agree.

They've invaded my attic again and chewed holes in the fascia under the eaves.

I can't stand the little buggers. I used to think they were cute.

Do any of you having problems live in an area where therre were no acorns this year? None here,

even though there are lots of oak trees in my yard. The driveway is usually covered and gets stained from acorns getting crushed. I haven't seen a single acorn on the driveway this year. I googled this awhile back and saw several articles that certain areas of the country are acorn deprived this year, meaning there must be a lot of hungry squirrels in areas where acorns are a main source of food.

We have collected & ground acorns for a few years now and the trees go through...

cycles of boom & bust crops. That's probably why squirrels save them for leaner years.
