I've been looking for Maille cornichons. Found them on Amazon, two jars for 5.13!! Really good price until I looked at shipping...24.72!!!

 
That is because that order is filled by a private company. Look on the left side under

new/used and you will see the same thing filled by Amazon with free shipping

 
Same thing with a small poly cutting board that was $4, shipping $22. Private company as Karen said

 
It is always that way with "stuff" IMO. I do love Amazon Prime for lots of reasons

but if it isn't a "prime"retailer, shipping is their cash cow.
Glad it was found elsewhere for you.
