This reminds me of my first Thanksgiving in college. We all chipped in for the turkey and then made our favorite sides. We had sushi, doasa, dressing, goulasch, and many other dishes. It was wonderful!!!

After dinner, we re-inacted the first Thanksgiving for our freinds from other countries.

Remi, from Japan: Why is it turkey?

No one knew.

Thanksgiving traditions are facinating. From the regional traditions to the recent

immigrants take on things, it is such a wonderful holiday.

I have many students who are recent immigrants, and am planning on bringing in some foods to share with them so they can try some of our traditions. One young lady told me she has never tried pie before, so I might do a slab pie, some cranberry sauce, and cornbread stuffing for them to taste (7-8 year olds).
