question is: Can this be frozen to use another time? I have never had this problem, so I never inquired about freezing before. I used ff 1/2 & 1/2 instead of milk or cream. TIA for your help.

 
Yes, Misplaced- freeze it. I froze corn chowder a while back and it got a bit

watery but I just poured the water off the top as it thawed and it was fine. The consistancy may change a little but not much.
