The taste is very good but it's definitely about the red pepper and peppadews. I didn't detect a cheezy taste at all. If I'm going to put that much cheese in a dish, I'd like to taste it. It seemed a little dry to me, but I put it in an 8" square dish instead of a deep dish as they show and that might have made a difference. Perhaps I'll change my mind when I taste the leftovers.

While I'm not sure I'd make this one again, I did learn that peppadews are a nice addition to a red pepper sauce. I have a recipe for spinach fettuccine with a red pepper sauce and scallops. I'll add peppadews the next time I make it.

Edited to say leftovers very tasty. I could taste the cheese and dh loves it.
