I have lots of ideas for what it could be used for.
2 Cups Sour Cream
2 Cups whipping Cream
1 3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 envelopes gelatin
3/4 cup water
Stir gelatin into water & let stand until soft. Cook over low heat until clear & dissolved.
In a large bowl, stir sour cream & sugar until sugar dissolves. Do not whip air into it, just stir. Add vanilla and cream. Combine well. Add gelatin & combine well. Pour in oiled pyrex 13x9 pan, or smaller, for thicker square. Chill until set.
Can be cut in squares & served with raspberries, or other fruit.
This could be cut with star or other cookie cutters. Would be pretty as a star with blueberries & strawberries or raspberries for July 4th.
I think this would shine as a cake filling. You could mold it in your round cake pans lined with oiled saran, then turn it out on top of the layers. Would make a nice strawberries & cream cake.
Could also have other flavors. I don't see why you couldn't add melted chocolate to it before chilling.
