I also added two Tbs of dried basil to the flour mix. They were wonderful with tea and cheese smileys/smile.gif
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 1/2 c Whole wheat flour
1 tb Sugar
1 1/4 ts Baking soda
1 t Salt
1 c Buttermilk
1/4 c Vegetable oil
Butter or margarine, melted
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix flours, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Stir in buttermilk and oil. Shape dough into 6 balls.
Roll each ball into 9-inch square on lightly floured cloth- covered board. Cut into 2-1/4-inch squares; brush with butter. Place squares on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt or sesame or poppy seed if desired. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
