RECIPE: I made these to take to a meeting tonight. REC: Snack Mix Bars

Edited to say, I think I would stick with the original recipe. It may be because they aren't completely cool yet, but they are really sticky and there is too much chocolate for my taste. I do like the addition of the peanuts though. I should have waited until they were cut and tasted before I posted this.

Snack Mix Bars

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 cups pretzel twists (mini) -- broken up2 cups Wheat Chex®

2 cups Rice Chex®

2 cups M&Ms® with peanuts chocolate candy

1 cup M&Ms® plain chocolate candy

1 cup peanuts, dry-roasted

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter

10 1/2 ounces miniature marshmallows

In a large mixing bowl, combine pretzels, Wheat Chex and M&M’s. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and peanut butter; add mini marshmallows, cooking and stirring until the marshmallows are melted and the mixture is smooth. Pour over pretzel mixture; stirring and tossing gently to coat. Press mixture into a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Cool until firm, cut into squares and serve.
