I made this Pumpkin Swirl Bread from the Mennonite Girls Can Cook blog. so nice.

You have to look at her site - it's great!!! Has 2 recipes for Bee Sting Cake

Look at the section on Mennonite recipes. Some things there that I have to try.

I just about cried when I read the recipe for Waffles with Vanilla Sauce----that's how I grew up

eating waffles, and not one of my American friends knew anything about vanilla sauce and waffles and I thought it was just something my Mom thought of, but it goes back to when we lived in Winnipeg and the Mennonite community. I have spent so much time today on this site---and I'm at work! but it soothes the soul and our system is down anyway.

Thanks! The Maple Fudge Sour Cream Cake sounds great... anything with "fudge" in the title

can't be anything but delicious. Looks like I'll be spending a little more time in the gym this month )

I made the Marble cake last week and just dusted it with powdered sugar. nicely oldfashioned

I added 2 tsp of vanilla to the recipe, but that's the only change. I have more whipping cream to use up, so I'm making another this weekend. I gave the first one away to my co-worker. Her nephew was killed in Afghanistan in that helicopter crash and they have lots of family and friends in town. I hope it tasted as good as it looked.
