I may not have a strawberry plant, but look what just showed up on it's own...

Cherry tomato plants are famous for volunteering. I have two of them, side by side

that popped up. We never put water to them until about 2 feet tall. They are healthy and producing while the other six, which had tender loving care have blossom end rot, a fungus, and are struggling with this insane heat.

How do the tomatoes taste Maria?

Yes, they are good volunteers. Husband has built a cage around one that sprouted. . .

in a crack between a dry-laid, 4 ft high rock wall and a ramp to the upper portion of our property. Last I checked, it was about 3 ft tall and 5 ft wide and blooming like crazy. That reminds me--I need to check to see if any are ripe! We like them and the ducks go crazy for them.

I have a volunteer tomato plant in a hanging basket...

I started putting my parsley up high a couple of years ago, after the neighborhood woodchuck discovered it.

This week I noticed that one of the planters also has a tomato plant in it!

I also have some sort of vining plant, either squash or cuke, in my raised bed.
