I must say the new Interstitial ads are annoying as hell...

I recommend a bottle of tequila, a bottle of rum, a six pack of beer, uppers, downers and

a pint of mezcal. If that doesn't help you with the 'stitials, it won't matter 'cause you won't remember who you are.

There are NO interstiitial ads running.

Perhaps you have a browser plugin or virus causing these?

anyone but Richard seeing these? Whenever I am called in to help

with a Windows user (one of my very least favorite things to do but since I get lumped in as a "computer guy" it is assumed that I can fix these things) with viruses and other problems I usually start by installing the Free versions of these two:
1) Avast:
http://www.avast.com/
2) Adaware:
http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Install them then do full scans (one at a time)
If you have a browser plugin/tool "Add ons" "Toolbars" these are often loaded with adware and even malware. Adaware is pretty good at finding them. I've also had better results with the free version of Avast than with the paid versions of Norton/McAfee. In both cases, make sure that you keep your definitions up to date daily. I set them to check and auto-update daily. If your definitions are not up to date, you are not protected against the latest and greatest malware, viruses...

without knowing your computer/browser config

if you actually saw interstitials on this site (as opposed to say having multiple browser windows or tabs open and it came from elsewhere) then it is from a 3rd party and not served from this site. I have not run any interstitial ads. My guess would be that you have a toolbar installed. This would be a common (if sleazy) behavior from these toolbars. If not then likely you have some sort of malware that is hijacking your browser. So the ads don't actually get served from any site, they are served to your browser directly. Depending upon how "smart" it is, it may even be content aware targeting the ads to whatever content you are viewing. Try that Adaware that I mentioned. The free version is all you need. If you have something like that, it will most likely catch it.

I have them here at work. They've forced us into VOI (Voice Over Internet) phones with video

imaging...so now I actually have to "face" my coworkers.

Yesterday, I called our lead field service engineer and he pulled a large Darth Vadar bobble-head in front of his video screen. I immediately pulled up the Wheel-o'-Plague puppets, held it in front of MY screen and said "Ha!"

Ted: "I have the Dark Lord on my side."

Me: I have God and a plague of locust on mine. Check-mate that, mister!"

PS: Is it any wonder I worry about layoffs every 3 months?
