New Year's Eve. I went into my herb gard (usually covered by a few inches of snow by now), and picked some chives to go with some mashed potatoes.

Everything looked pretty dead out there, but amazing that the chives and oregano are still green!

Drive safely and see y'all "next year"!

 
same here...more (NFRC)

We usually have snow by this time of year, but today it is in the 40's again. Our local ski areas are having a hard time. Even though they are making snow, it just isn't staying. I have a parsley plant in the garden that is green and thriving!

I picked parsley and cilantro for our New Year's eve dinner! and my snowdrops are coming up.

 
Julie, I've heard the same "10-year prediction" from acclaimed scientists!

Some say it is already too late to reverse things completely at this point. Very sad what we're doing to ourselves! They say New Orleans may be having a repeat performance this year - scary!
