explanations of what you did (ie did you write a new message, did you type the person's name in or select it from a list, or click on PM within a forum post, or reply to a PM) and what exact error occurred.

And thanks to everyone who is interested in helping. Once there are about 8 responses, nobody need do this anymore, unless I ask again.

 
Here's what I did Mimi...first I posted a message to MargeCDN accessing

it from within your post. I sent it with a brief message inside and got the error message. Then I went to the top of the page and did one from there to Meryl with a brief message and also got an error message.

Edit:eek:ops...forgot to say I got Marg's name from the drop down and typed in Meryl's

 
Mim, I was able to reply back to wildwoods (yeah), send one to her (yeah) AND reply back to Joe on..

one that didn't work previously.

I did NOT clear out my cookies/history/mind.

 
I clicked on a message sent to me and clicked reply. Wrote a short message and

tried to send. The following came up. "There was an error sending your reply. It was not sent."

 
Thanks Marilyn, the cookies/history thing should only have had to have been done once anyway

...just once, and not every single time you post a PM! I think you did do it once, a while ago, didn't you? Or not?

 
i got an error message if i tried to send a new message using a name selected from the list, but it

looks like i was able to send a smile message to you and marilynFL when i typed in your names instead of using the list. looks like some progress has been made!

 
Here's what I did

1. Chose MariaDNoCal's name from the list and sent her a message with text inside. It said the message was sent.

2. Typed MariaDNoCal's name into a new message, typed text into the message and again it said the message was sent.

3. Tried to reply to a message from MariaD (which she sent to me about 4 days ago)and it did NOT go. Got this: There was an error sending your reply. It was not sent.

 
Bummer, I just tried to sent YET another flippant remark back to Joe and got the dreaded

error message.

"There was an error sending your reply. It was not sent."

I did type in the subject field, but did not select his name from the list. Just hit the reply button (which worked a mere 20 minutes ago).

Have they designed "Flippant Disablers" into their code?

 
I selected the name from the list (I fogot) - and got this message:

"There was an error sending your message." I had never gotten that before.

I typed in the subject and the recipient.

And do you know that the "print" function doesn't work anymore?

It works fine for me. What about it is not working, what error message are you getting, what is happening exactly for you to say that it's not working? Sorry. :eek:( I need excruciating details in order to understand when it's working fine for me.

 
I tried to reply back but it wouldn't go, the usual error message. Mimi, could

there be something with trying to send more than 2 replys to the same PM?

Meryl hit reply and it went through
I hit reply in response to Meryl's response and got an error message.

I'm going to try to send her a new one and see if that goes through.

Meryl, glad your mouth is better today. things are better here too, just storm weary after 3 wks of rain and gale force winds. we're all kinda edgy at this point.

Maybe just one more since I had a mix of success. I sent one to Julie R using

the popdown window. It had a short note and went successfully.

I again tried Orchid, using both methods to access her name and it would not go. Tried with a long message, short message, subject line, no subject line. No go. I just don't think Orchid is there anymore.

 
Thanks Marg. I'm sure it's not the popup blocker, that was only for Dawn's printing problem.
