and I found that have have no cardboard liners in the right size so I will be able to get the cake out of the pan. Do you think I can make-do with Reynolds Wrap Release? Any other suggestions

FAST. TIA

San, find a notebook in the house. The back should be at least

8.5" wide which would be enough for an 8 or 9" base (unless you're going with a 10" dia.) Or check in the closets for a gift shirt box--or a Xerox box.

Wrap that in foil and press into the pan. Should work.

To Marilyn & Michael

Thank you both. Those ideas are at least 1,000 times better than mine. I am so late in responding because after getting all of the ingredients ready, it was getting so late (the cake had to remain in the oven for 2 hours after I turned the oven off) & I will do it all tomorrow.
I will do that tomorrow unless Michael has a better reicpe for a Pumpkin Cheesecake than I do.

Thanks again

My recipe is simple. I take one...

...of our cars and drive to Price Club and buy one of theirs!

My family loves the pumpkin cheesecake at Costco.

Sandy in Baltimore - Have you tried Renee Estevez's Recipe for Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake featured

in Bon Appetit October 2002. I will link the recipe for you. The link does not credit her, however, I have the issue. It was not included in the magazine article on Martin Sheen and at the time you had to go to the website for the recipe. It is wonderful.

I should have stated Renee Estevez is Martin Sheen's Daughter and a trained Pastry Chef.

Re: The Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake

Unfortunately, I didn't find the recipe for the Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake until late last night and I had already purchased the ingredients for Martha Stewart's Pumpkin Cheesecake. I copied it and put it in m y "Untried Recipe File" I hope the M.S cake is good. I have been making the Marcel Desaulniers "Pumpkin/Chocolate Cheesecake" for the past several years. It is delicious,, but at best it really takes 1 full day or 2 days at best. the recipe calls for 3 days, and I just wasn't up to doing that much work this year.
