I organized my recipes last night. I have an ENTIRE folder for desserts. Sad.

Under "Desserts", "Cakes/Tortes", "Pies/Tarts/Cobblers", "Cookies/Bars/Brownies", "Frozen & Misc"

A little OCD you think?

Hey Steve, I'm right ther with you! I keep mine in 3 ring binders and have to keep

separating the dessert ones into ever smaller categories so they will fit into the binders! I use the 2" binders and, until now put each recipe in a page protector so that I don't mess it up when using it in the kitchen. But the binders are getting overwhelming so I think I have to stop the page protector thing.

Talk about OCD!

Oh, my, I have 4 folders for cheesecakes alone! Thickest one is 3.5 inches deep--I just measured it.

I've always told people that I was not born with a single sweet tooth, but God gave me 32 sweet teeth! Am not even going to measure the depth on my other dessert category file folders--am sure it would scare me too much. lol!

Steve, you are absolutely right! I have tried saving them in folders on the computer...

but there is nothing like sitting in a comfy chair paging thru the books of recipes. Flipping thru word documents just does not have the same ambiance. However, I have requested a wireless laptop so that might encourage me to save a few more trees!

ROTFLMHO! You got me pegged, MarilynFL! I'll never forget Mimi's comments way bk during an

Intro thread at post #58. (I can still remember the thread number!) Here are a couple pasted lines from her well-remembered "Full Disclosure"==>

Usually the new recipes I try are awesome and I'm just floored that my family doesn't appreciate them. *sigh* In spite of that, I'm very interested in cooking and love to collect recipes I never try, and read up on cooking techniques.

Caryn(Wigs) live again: Her 2nd sentence above fits me to a capital T, and thus, my 4 folders of cheesecake recipes, which is only just for starters. I'm truly living proof of a recipe addict, and it is so comforting to learn there are others out there like me. lol!

I'm about to hire a high school kid to organize, sleeve and file over 500

printed recipes. I too, prefer the plastic sleeve to protect the paper while cooking!
