It is sprinkled with a green dried herb mix (za'atar?) and drizzled with cumin olive oil. Do you think it is za'atar? It has no visible sesame seeds. I'd like to copy this the next time I make homemade.
Za’atar, an herb blend, can be made in bulk by mixing 2 tablespoons dried oregano or thyme, 1 tablespoon dried marjoram, 2 tablespoons lightly toasted sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon sumac and 1/2 teaspoon salt. It is also available from Kalustyan’s, (800) 352-3451 or kalustyans.com.
I agree...Pine nut is my favorite Sabra version and I don't see any sesame seeds on top. Maybe they avoid that part component of the recipe since it's a damp environment? I have sumac if you would like some. I have coarse grind and Marg in Canada generously sent me ground sumac (Thanks again, Peggy!).
Our stores have stopped carrying the lemon hummus, which was my second favorite.
A friend recommend this product (see link) and I've been loving it with hummus: Crunchmaster Whole Grains {I like the sea salt version}. It took a while to find them...Bon bought hers at Walmarts. I found them in the deli section of an upscale grocery store.
