I think I know the answer to this, but asking anyway. Had a frozen turkey breast

and I carefully thawed it (a Honeysuckle one, still wrapped and sealed) in the refrigerator but didn't use it right away. Being in the refrigerator, I know it stayed frozen for only about 2-3 days, but how long is too long before I shouldn't cook it?

I guess I'm asking how long will it stay safe in the refrigerator, considering it was frozen when I put it in there? It's been 6 days since I took it out of the freezer and has been in the refrigerator ever since, but it smells fine. TIA

I just read the following - so tell me if I should throw it out

please. The ahole turkey breast weighs about 10 lbs. So if it takes 24 hours for each five pounds, that would be only 2 days it was still semi-frozen.

So I'm thinking it's been thawed and at refrigerator-temperature for 4 days... too long?

Not in my house. It should be fine if it has been in the fridge the whole time.

If you think about it, you buy fresh chicken at the store and you don't usually have to use it the same day you buy it. You usually have a few days before the "use by" date has come. In my opinion, I think it is perfectly fine.

Tears running down my face I'm laughing so hard!!! Dawn, please don't edit

the post....just pricelessly funny typo!!!
