Oh, you poor thing - what a terrible cold spell. Drink some hot chocolate and I'll send you a nice,

warm fur coat right away. Also, make sure your heat is turned up very high. Hahahahaha.
Meanwhile, it's 25 degrees or something over here, going down to 10 tonight, and I'm not used to it. I lived in FL for 7 long years before moving to NC, and got used to the heat - now I'm coooooold!

 
You are right about the wimp factor. This is my first winter

here in MO that I don't scream when I step out of the car! Literally...lol.

 
Dawn, Meryl... I should take a pic of my DH right now huddled under a heated blanket

with his stocking cap on, watching hockey smileys/smile.gif He's even more of a wimp than me! Of course, he was born and raised in southern Calif., so he's got the wimpiness down to a science *g*

That hot chocolate sounds good, though!

 
Hey Dawn - keepin warm up there?

I'm not sure why but even I am miserable this winter! Usually I run so hot that I freeze everyone out of the house. This year I'm freezing! lol Must be *hormonal*! smileys/wink.gif

 
I couldn't stand it yesterday. I put on heavy sweats, a fleece robe (at 2pm) and a wool jacket over

that. We had a fire going and I got out the heating pad and put that behind my back! Finally had some vegetable soup for dinner and that warmed me up.
I agree with Gayle- this winter I'm just cold all the time.

We are actually staying quite warm...

our house in S.D. was very poorly insulated and I froze in the winter there. If I turned on the furnace our electric bill would be around $400. This house is so well insulated and the front of the house faces SW, so the house really stays pretty warm.
Last year at this time, I was standing outside at all hours of the day, house training a puppy, with double layers of mittens, hats and scarves, and still freezing.
This is a much warmer winter to me! smileys/smile.gif

 
and we are thawing out in the upper 30's with rain coming down over the snow making icy roads. yuk

I would rather have the bitter cold without the rain and ice.

 
The AC is running right now.....Are we ever going to get some winter? :0(

But then...my orchids don't like the cold. :0)
