I want to make this for Thanksgiving - Question...can I sub fresh cranberries for the dried?

I'd say yes. You'll have more liquid from the fresh cranberries. I'd cook them down in a

separate pan (to help cook off the liquid & concentrate the flavors) and then add them to your dish. Many dried cranberries are sweetened with fruit juice so you may need to sweeten it up a bit with the fresh cranberries.
