I never use anything except real butter. Can I bake with this? Not something like butter cookies where the flavor might come through, but quick bread or a stronger flavored cookie. I haven't tasted this yet so I am not sure if we will be using it or not. Anyone out there familiar with this product? Thanks!

I always have some in the fridg when guilt or arteries demand it '-)) it's OK and you can

use it just like butter. I've never baked with it though but it should work. the taste is pretty good too. I like it on baked potatoes with an awesome greek yogurt.

I use it when I need to "grease" a pan...ie when making omlets, sunny side up eggs, etc. (usually

every day) I have not used it in baking. I also used it where a tablespoon of butter was called for. ie cooked corn, other vegies, etc..

5 lbs is alot!

Smart Balance is great. We use the regular for cooking (can't tell any difference) and the Light SB

for spreading on potatoes, toast, etc. It's a good product.
