I was in our neighborhood market yesterday and saw a package of Kings Hawaiian

Bread, a 4 pack! Perfect! I grabbed it with the thought of making the Ham and Cheese Sliders. Put them together last night, using Danish Havarti. What a snap to make. We had them for breakfast this morning along with fresh oranges from our little tree, fresh pineapple and bananas, sauced with honey yogurt and fresh mint.

We loved them, so easy for such a delicious combination.

Karen, did you use the treatment from Siri Daly's Sticky Ham Sandwiches or a different recipe?

Just curious since there seems to be so many mixed reviews on the Siri Daly treatment, both here and elsewhere online.

her recipes....

... are good, I've made a few, no problems

but I have a huge pet peeve with her show - I cannot stand the constant use of "MY" to ingredients

"so I get my seasoned salt, add it to my chicken, now let me slice my tomatoes, and grab my milk"

honestly it drives me nuts.

She truly over does it.

Funny, there's something intriguing about the

simple sandwiches on rolls that are baked, it's just finding the right combination of ingredients in the savory topping that appeal to one's tastebuds. This particular slider isn't baked but I like the sound of it with the additions of crisp apple, peppery arugula and piquant condiments. Thanks for posting it, Gay.

Oh and thanks for including the title in your post. We have a number of posts

lately without a recipe title either in the subject or body of the post, or other identifying clues, which may make it difficult to find later in searches.

Hawaiian Ham Sandwiches: Traca.Don't use the link in her original post, use her tweaked version

found later down the thread--it's perfection. Always a hit.

No sugar, no cream cheese, (unnecessary fat) just savory goodness. Don't omit the onion flakes, they add a lot to this party. Better if they sit overnight prior to baking.

Don't go by the link in her original post--use her modified tweaked version found here.

Hmm,when I make this I open MY bread, lay it w MY ham, slice MY apple, etc. Sorry Sally, couldn't

resist!! Now I will have to look for her show! I have only seen it once or twice,,, But now it is on MY to do list!!! : )

he he he....

I know it's a pretty minor thing, but I've always hated it, even when someone uses it sparingly. But she does it ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME
