Lemon juice works good... and try to squeeze out as much air as you can

(from the bag). I've heard citric acid works well too, but... lemons are easier! :eek:)

 
On second thought - he might appreciate the non-taste of 7up instead.

That's what I used when the kids were brown bagging.

I tried the lemon juice because that is what I had...

I will find out after school how it worked. My son is quite pleased with his new and improved lunches. I may have created a monster. I will keep the other ideas in mind too. Well, rick, your's is towards the bottom of the list.

Oh wow, does that really work?

I see these canapés on apple slices and they always have too much of a lemon tang. I've been wondering how to keep the apples from browning without using lemon juice.
