I'd like to make the black and white cookies from Cook's Country. The recipe

makes a white cookie but I'd prefer to do them in chocolate. Is there a way to do this without affecting the texture?

If you mean can you add cocoa or chocolate to the original cookie recipe without changing

the texture, that would be difficult. The added ingredient would change the composition of the dough and affect the texture of final product.

I like the sound of a chocolate base for a black and white cookie! Good luck, smileys/smile.gif

I think you can substitute measure for measure of flour/cocoa, like take out 1/4c flour and add 1/4

cup cocoa, but I don't know how much you would need to make that dough chocolate.

Thanks, Ang. I read that on another site but comments say it changes the

texture. Guess I'll just follow the recipe.
