I'd love to try these mini-pies for Pi Day on Monday, but for the life of me, can't figure out

Got to be frozen pie crusts special to Canada

because 6-6" circles from one crust doesn't seem possible with the frozen pre-made crusts we have available here in MI. Even rolled thin, I think you'll need 4 crusts.

This recipe does sound wonderful. Please share how your pies turn out.

Oooooh! How about their cheesy sausage grits cakes recipe? Andouille and shrimp would be my add-ins smileys/wink.gif

It does say "no tin" so it must be the rolled up ones sold in the dairy counter or such. But

still looks like a REALLY whole lot of pie crust for just two.

the recipe says it makes 12. I don't see any way of getting 12 6" circles out of just 2

pie crusts, whether frozen or refrigerated. I would go with 4 crusts.

Thanks all. I think the consensus that it's actually 2 packages of 2-dough packages

would work, but I realized 12 hand-held pies will disappear into the selfish hands of only three of my coworkers, leaving the other 20 to fend for themselves. They're like that. They would say they're enthusiastic. I'd call it greed with a ZipLock.

Instead I'm making what I had in the house: a mushroom and caramelized onion tart using a dough that I found in the freezer.

Unmarked, of course. So who knows how it will turn out?

My freezer is a constant source of surprises...some good, some not so good, some down-right scary.

My favorite line from the Odd Couple when Felix is trying to identify something from the fridge

"It's either very new cheese or very old meat". LOL

It's a classic! My favorite bit is when they go to a restaurant....

... but the video speaks a million words...

it makes me L.O.L. (literally) every single time! Makes me think of my Dad who would almost pass out laughing...

That's funny! I hope it's a chest freezer, It's dangerous to rummage in mine. Should wear a

helmet and steel-toed shoes!
