If this is Tuesday, I wonder where Richard is?

Thanks Meryl, I'm glad *someone* appreciated that. lol

It's a reference to an old cult movie.

When he originally posted the itinerary.....

I responded with "If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium".
I remember well the European tours with killer itineraries, that left one's head spinning by the middle of the trip, since travelers moved so fast!

You know the funny thing is, I have never *actually* seen the movie, have you?

Everyone I have talked to about this knows the principal behind the movie without ever having seen it. I've never met anyone who's seen it! It's not even out on DVD that I can find. One of these days I am going to have to break down and take my dusty VHS player out of the attic and get the VHS, just for this.

Yes, I've seen it. Can't remember who was in it, but it is a good one for the TCM station.

Suzanne Pleschette, Ian McShane. See the link. I remember watching this late night while babysitting---not originally at the theater smileys/smile.gif

~raises hand~ I've seen it - Susanne Pleshette plays one of the lead characters (chat)

The "It's Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium" saying has been a running joke between DH and I for a long time. I don't even know how it got started (he must have seen the movie) - so we borrowed it one night from the library. Vintage 60's humor.

Yes, I did see the movie....

but so many years ago (when it was first released), and my "movie memory" isn't so good.
Sooooo, don't ask me details. Thanks to Lisa, I do recall Suzanne Pleshette being in it, but unless someone else jogs my brain further, I'm not coming up with any other details.
I just like the phrase!

I've seen it and "played" it...

Years back while in Brussels, my fellow travel agent friend asked me what day it was. (We did our own partying/whirlwind tour from Brussels to Paris and back again).

I replied to Marci "Tuesday"... she then responded (you know) and we both lost it!!

I guess you had to be there - LOL!

Yes, we travel a lot and it's been a running joke in our family for years...

But since no one's seen the movie, I have NO IDEA where it came from!

"Don't Drink The Water" is probably the movie you're thinking of with Jackie Gleason. It's also

a travel movie.
