I think there is some work being done...I've noticed a change...

At the bottom of my screen, where it used to end with the message ID, it now ends with the first part of the subject line.

you can now type something like http://www.finerkitchens.com/swap/21764

(with post id at the end) to go directly to a post.

the text you see next to the number in the link is for visual reference and is not necessary when typing an url.

Update

a forum id will need to be included in the url to identify between the different forums. So links should look like these examples:

http://www.finerkitchens.com/swap/forum1/21764
(forum 1, message #21764)

http://www.finerkitchens.com/swap/forum25/5
(forum 25, message#5)
