lemon curd lightened with whipped cream, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. Haven't made it in several years and can't remember if I made it the night before...what do you think? Saturday night or Sunday morning. Also wondering if I should brush the cake with something before layering. I can't use liqueur because of the kids.

 
Won't that be pretty! I think you can easily make it Sat. And since you're going with

lemon curd, I'm moisten the pound cake cube layer with frozen lemonade thinned with simple syrup.

Note of caution: Having been burned before...I'd taste the blackberries for sweetness before adding. Nothing worse that biting into an expectation of fruity sweetness and run into something so sour that your entire face puckers.

Happily had some raspberries last week that ACTUALLY tasted like raspberries.
