I'm preparing, again Nigella Lawson's guiness chocolate cake

for a family lunch today. Honestly I don't know an easier cake to put together that tastes so delicious.

I'm curious if others' have T & T cakes that are suitable for guests but aren't too laborious.

I'm looking at a lemon buttermilk cake on this site and epicurious that some of you have made in the past and gave good reviews.

Sandi's Iowa Applesauce Cake was one of my Thanksgiving desserts for years.

A friend of DD didn't eat cake, but devoured this.It's really good. I didn't use the frosting.
I really must try that Guinness cake - maybe at Christmas or New Year's.
