and I'm sorry for the repeat. I searched, really I did.

How many swappers blog about food? I started blogging (poorly) in September and the whole process is fascinating. Especially how LITTLE I know about it. I'd love to look at some of y'alls blogs.

Links? Now is the time for shameless self-promotion!!! smileys/smile.gif

That reminds me...I thought we were going to have a link where bloggers could post their link??

Carianna, I'm happy to answer any questions you have. I was co-founder of the

International Food Blogger Conference, and started as a way to discuss some of the bigger issues in blogging.

Thanks, Marilyn! I stick my head in now and then. Since I started "swapping"

my life has changed so much!

Back then I was a stay-at-home mom who did catering, and since then I went back to school and got my teaching degree. Much less time for spending in the kitchen now.

Also, last October I had weight loss surgery and have lost 150 pounds. My cooking interests have changed quite a bit because of that. Although I can eat whatever I want with my particular surgery, I really crave soup like no other food. I have become soup-obsessed. It's kind of a sickness. smileys/smile.gif

In fact, the reason I popped in was to take a peek at Michael's Albondigas Soup. Thinking about making a version of that soonish!

Cheers!

Nice to see you Carianna. I miss your great recipes and wonderful

catering experiences and pictures. You were my pal in our love of our Seahawks. Nice blog and a good place to look when soup hits you. Thanks, I've bookmarked it. And congrads on your weight loss. You look terrific!

Hi Carianna. Congratulations with your ...

...blog and your weight loss. I don't have a blog, but I can relate to the joys of losing a lot of weight.

The Albondigas will be on our Christmas Eve menu again this year. I use ground turkey now, more often than ground beef or pork. Sometimes 1/2 beef and 1/2 turkey. Very tender meatballs that way.

Michael

Carianna! The before-and-after pictures are truly amazing!!! You should be so proud of yourself smileys/smile.gif

Oh, THANK YOU FOR THIS . . .

I make soups on weekends to take for lunches during the fall-winter-spring. I have found some real keepers (both Ina recipes, BTW), but I am always looking for a new recipe to try. I can't wait to delve into this blog further . . . looks like it has a lot of promise, so THANK YOU.

Michael, what's the "carnitas broth" referred to in the recipe?

I tried to PM that to you, but my work computer won't let me access the private message screen. smileys/frown.gif

Go 'Hawks!!! smileys/smile.gif

And thanks for the kind words. It's funny, even if I don't stop in here for a year or so, I never feel shy about posting. I know I'll always be welcomed "home." smileys/smile.gif
