I'm thinking about making a monkey bread with refrigerated biscuits

and using garlic butter and shredded cheddar between layers. Is there any reason I couldn't prepare it several hours before and holding in the fridge until I want to cook it? I don't think there is a problem but wanted to check with you all. TIA

Sorry... Never had Monkey Bread. My experience w/ refrigerated bisquits is that they lose their

texture if at room temp too long or they are rolled out / stretched / etc for an extended period. (Even if then refridgerated). Sorry I can't help!

I have no experience with it either but I did Google it, and there are recipes for making

Monkey Bread that way, and also with frozen bread balls. Pillsbury has a few.

I make monkey bread with the refrigerated biscuits and I think it will be fine made ahead a few hrs

I usually bake it right away, so no actual test of this, but I do think it will be fine. sounds really good by the way. is it a superbowl food?

Yes, I want to just put it together a couple of hours before game

time and then be able to throw it in the oven. I don't think a couple of hours would be a problem but what do I know....LOL

I'm going to just cut the biscuit dough in quarters and drop pieces

into the pan. So if I have the cheese grated and the garlic butter ready I should be able to put it together pretty quickly. I doubt it would reach room temp so does that seem ok?

Here it is. Super easy but I'd like to have it ready to go when I want it.

My beloved Seahawks are playing again this year and I don't want to miss a second of the game! I went to every game their first year and I am still a fan.

If you make it with bread you can leave it on the counter for the couple

of hours while it rises and then bake it. Super good.
