In case anyone is interested, here is Ina Gartens July 4th recipes

I have a buddy I meet up with at the Farmers Market every Saturday. He is 90 and in excellent

condition. Very tall, goes to the gym everyday, still drives, cooks for himself, and does a little gardening. Had his first and only child at age 50! He will not eat any night shade plants, which means tomatoes too, no carbs, and now he tells he he is gluten-free. I always show him my basket loaded with tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, just dug up baby spuds!! He buys tons of broccoli, and gets upset when it is out of season. He is not allergic to any food, just tells me they are bad for me. I remind him hubby is 85, I am 77 and we are both very healthy. Too funny. To each their own. This time of year I am eating cherry tomatoes for dessert. I do love all tomatoes, peppers, eggplant but do stay away from potatoes now as much as I can, and have developed a love for cauliflower rice in place of most rice dishes. I guess we all have our quirks. smileys/smile.gif
