really in England. Today I had lunch in an old greenhouse at a delightful nursery. Yes, it is cold and overcast but dry and the smell of blossom as we walked into the nursery was fantastic. The spring seems earlier this year and a lot of the bulbs (which I never see where I live) are starting to bloom.

The lunch was very nice. The shopping in Waitrose made me want to cook - as always. My friend said "No, I have chicken at home to cook"....ha! The chicken is off and we are ordering in from the Nepalese.

G 'n Ts on the go, a roaring fire in the hearth, the cuckoo clock sounding and Heston Blumenthal is on the telly....what more could I wish for?.....a shopping day at Marks 'n Sparks tomorrow...I am content.

I love

I was there over Thanksgiving...

Good old London!

If you're travelling form terminal 5 on the way out, they have a Wagamama and our favourite meringue desert!

When do you get to NYC?

Sandra, I bought Lar a Wagamama cookbook as a reminder of Cambridge.

Not what one would typically expect for a city that has been there for centuries, but it was the first place we hit after a few hours on the train and no breakfast. What a lovely, tasty memory.

There is a lot of great new food in the UK...

And lots of asian influenced places, especially - it's not your old-boring food country anymore!

Especially in a student town like Cambridge, cheap and cheerful wins!

I will HAVE to get there earlier than planned, last minute shopping AND a dessert is on the cards

then smileys/smile.gif Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately the dessert is not in the copy of Wagamamas I have smileys/frown.gif

New York Sat and Sun a Broadway show.....sadly all fun things come to an end.
