Interesting anatomy graphic: Starbuck's is super-sizing.

I don't see the big deal about this...

'They' tell you to drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day - unless you weigh 60 pounds, this cup doesn't even come close!

Did you read the article? More interesting are the comments after it - you're going to sip the beverage, and the ice, there's lots of ice in there...

30 ounces of iced tea, for example, is that really such a bad thing?

tea (and coffee) has caffeine which dries out your body, so overdoing it can be bad

Plus, a drink that size at Starbucks sure makes for expensive ice cubes

yes but....

I should be able to choose if I want the caffeine or not - not have "them" tell me that a 30 ounce drink should not exist because it could be bad for me... ya know?!?!

I'm getting a little fed up with the nanny-state regarding salt, caffeine, fat, nicotine, etc.. etc...

Treating the population like idiots will just breed idiots...

Why not just get us all to swallow only 1 pill a day with all of our nutrients - or Soylent Green - everyone eats the same stuff, same amount, same colour, etc... until "they" decide that Soylent Green is bad for us, then rally against it and tell us not ingest it....

This is exactly one of the things I have missed about America all these years we have been away -

* VARIETY AND CHOICE *

wether it be flavour, colour, brand, size, or scent...

I will be one of the first in line to get a Trenta iced coffee as soon as I see one!!

(and I don't even like Starbucks that much)

HA! Sandra, tell us what you REALLY think smileys/smile.gif Yup, I support anyone's right to choose for themself!

The government tries so hard to protect us from ourselves - it's definitely become "Big Brother"

I doubt it... If I were a San Fran parent, I'd probably be pretty happy about this.

It doesn't give those parents *less* incentive to go to McD's--it arguably gives them more. You mean I don't have to worry about my kid ingesting lead paint when he/she gnaws on the toy when I'm not looking? Great!
