Interesting & delicious: Green Beans with Sesame Tahini Sauce. I needed a side dish for

I love your dinner themed menu's / parties. I tried to introduce the concept to our tea group and

it was not successful. We all love getting together, they just prefer to bring what they want.... Anything from a home made hummus to store bought salsa. I just go with the flow and realize all good, just enjoy their friendship, but they are not foodies.

It took a long time to build a group. It's surprises me who took to the idea and those

who didn't. I've heard it all. We meet on the wrong day, the books are too challenging, the books aren't challenging enough. I can't meet up north, I can't meet during football season, on and on it goes. Out of a list of 90 people, we have about 20-25 who participate regularly. (On an average day, we have about 14 people.) And even then, there are people who say, We have TOO much food! LOL! Thankfully, I think we finally got it worked out. smileys/smile.gif

along this line, a surprisingly easy method: heat wok, add a swirl of peanut oil and toss

6-8 oz of fresh green beans (ends snapped off). Toss rapidly over as high a heat as your stove goes. Beans will start to blister. Add a bit of water if you want them slightly softer...it will evaporate almost immediately.

Wok just a few minutes (1-2 max), remove from heat and toss with a splash of soy sauce, a tiny splash of toasted sesame oil, a dab of chili/garlic hot sauce, plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds (white and black).

Eat with your fingers.
Don't even think about feeling bad doing this.

I will eat an entire pound of fresh green beans in 2 days with this method.

(based on a dish I had at Ethos restaurant in Winter Park.)
