It seems like an interesting alternative to an electric waffle maker.

I doubt I would buy it, although I never had a waffle and wonder if it is as tasty as people say it is... smileys/wink.gif

I don't think you'll get a "waffle" taste...just a "waffle" appearance. After testing FOUR

waffle irons (3 from thrift shops, 1 for my Cuisinart Griddler) I'm convinced the heat from the metal elements reacting with the sugars in the batter make for a better tasting waffle. My favorite "tasting' one so far has been the oldest waffle iron with NO circuit breaker on the line. I could probably take out the transformer for the neighborhood electrical grid with this sucker.
