Is anyone else having a Super Bowl Party?

We don't watch the game but we do use the occasion to eat as much junk food as we can and play games. It used to be just the three of us but has grown and this year it looks like a minimum of 12. This year we're bringing the itty bitty t.v. out to put the game on (for the commercials and half time) while we have a guitar hero tournament on the big tv. (I sit and watch, I can't get my fingers and my brain to actually work together.)

So far I have:

Loads of chips & salsa

Bean dip

Buffalo Chicken Dip (no messy wings!)

Spinach dip (spinach, white beans and garlic)

A sausage and cheese platter

Crudites

Stuffed olives (whatever the local guy has)

Mini Guinea Grinders (a Grinder Slider?)

Cheese cake

Brownies

Yes, well, just a few neighbors. I'm probably making the seven (or eight or nine)-layer

dip, corn and bean "thing" we can use as a dip, and pumpernickel bread cubes with chipped beef dip. Same old stuff; got any new ideas?

I love watching the Wii guitar too. But too many footballs for that to happen this weekend - and I like the commercials too ;o)

Brother-in-law is having the family over. Eclectic menu pigs in a blanket , hot wings, shrimp scampi

pizza, hoagies, beef in barbecue sauce, mini cheesecakes, and ice box cake, okay I fess up, I'm making the ice box cake. Yes it's the one with the graham crackers, instant pudding, and, and cool whip. Normally I will whip up my own cream but hubby's family doesn't care. They love cool whip! People seriously love this stuff. I took it to a party this summer and it was gone in 10 minutes. Go figure.

No but the kids are excited to eat "football" food so I am starting to plan

Was thinking of some sort of nachos or 7 layer dip, pigs in the blanket, edamame (my 5 year olds LOVE it), chicken wings, artichoke dip (from costco...my favorite) and chicken wings. Do special smoothies for them. Doesn't seem too original but not sure what else to serve. Thoughts?

Kids don't care about original, just good - something they don't usually get. You're great at that!

Or there is always make-their-own pizza using English muffins, celery with peanut butter and raisins on them ("ants on a stick"). A mix of nuts, pretzel rods, chocolate chips, and popcorn ("nuts and bolts"), fruit and cheese kabobs, simple store-bought onion rings with ketchup, guacamole - okay this last one is a stretch but little boys like gross-looking green food! ;o)

Thanks for the ideas. They do love guac so maybe I will add that to the mix.

They are most excited about being able to eat in front of the tv which NEVER happens around here. I got some very sturdy vinyl tablecloths from Target with which I am going to swath my floor and then close my eyes and hope for the best.
