Is anyone familiar with calamondin? A coworker gave me one from her garden yesterday.

It is smaller than a key lime. She said it's quite bitter.

What better way can I think of to join in with the camaraderie that I've missed so much here?

Yes Yes!!! They're tart, like a lime mixed with a bit of orange, very popular in Filipino. cuisine

I simply love them and are so happy you have one!!

In the Philippines they squeeze them over everything in lieu or lime. I like them in a whiskey sour or I made a glaze for a chicken with them, in in water to sip.

Wish I had some! I blogged about them last year...

Hhmm... Not what I was thinking of. I used to travel to Puerto Rico for work, and they would have

something similar sold on the streets. They were also green and very tart. BUT they had a big seed inside...Which were supposed to help with the heat In PR. You kind of sucked the seed. They were such a treat! Anyone know the name?
