Is everyone in Florida O.K.? Just got up and can't remember where you all are? Looks awful

Hi Nan, everything is fine here, just heavy rain. There was a lot of damage and at least two deaths

northeast of here.

Checking in. Took 2 hours to drive into work. No damage at home, but 14 deaths

in Lake county and lots of damage in Volusia county where I live.

Sheesh...this is even worse than our last hurricane. At least you knew those were coming.

We're fine here in Tampa Bay. I woke up at 4:20 this when I saw a flash of lightning

and then heard the thunder and rain. I prayed that God would protect my husband driving over the bridge to Tampa....our windshield wipers are the greatest....God answered my prayer and it had stopped raining by the time he had to leave.

I called friends of mine who live in Sumter County, about 30 mins. south of The Villages and they are fine also.

Yesterday the winds were so strong they blew over an earthbox I had sitting on top of concrete blocks. I have tomatoes, spearmint and chives growing in it...heavy with the water in it and I had it tied to a post...that's high wind!

we had to replace our roof a year earlier than we anticipated with the year that we had 3 hurricanes cross the center of the state. It was very strange last summer not having to have concern about any hurricanes coming toward us

I'm so glad you gals are safe! good grief the weather has been a wild ride this year :-0

Marianne is in panhandle, so hopefully o.k.thanks so much for checking in ((((Florida friends)))).

Yes, we were spared the storm's wrath, here in the FLA panhandle. Thank you so much for asking...

our hearts go out to the central Florida residents who suffered so much in this catastrophie. What can we do to help?
