mushy? I really dislike them. I never thought shrimp were that hard to peel anyway.

Is it just me or are the easy-peel shrimp which have become almost all you can find

they aren't that much easier to peel it's mainly that they have been deveined. They don't have the best texture though the ones I have gotten haven't really been mushy. Whatever happened to REALLY fresh shrimp with their heads on? I haven't seen any of those for years and used to be that is all I got.

I think the split in the shell allows too much moisture to accumulate between the shell
and the flesh and they just stew as they are thawing.

Ok, I love shrimp. I might as well be Bubba from Forrest Gump, lol. Any ways, I had to stop buying from the local grocer because it would always turn out wrong. I found another supplier that does keep the head intact, any it makes a world of difference.
