Is there a way to speed up the ripening of a pear? I know a brown paper

bag works for avocados and mangoes. What about a pear? I'm not very patient! LOL

Google says use a brown bag WITH an apple in it. Good luck.

I ripen them in a brown paper bag all the time. It works.

Rvb, it varies of course, depending on how firm they are to begin with. But they definitely ripen

faster when they're in the bag, as opposed to just sitting on the counter, exposed to the air. They usually take a few days in the bag if they're hard as a rock.
