Help please! I make our kids lunch boxes every day. DD lost or had her lunchbox stolen a few weeks ago. I had lots of fun thermal containers / canteens in it. Fortunately, I was able to replace everything except my plastic container of parmesan cheese. I honestly do not recall what I even made for her lunch that day, but it had this container in it. I originally purchased it at Shop Rite, they say they no longer carry it.... I have searched our local markets, dollar stores, rite aids, walgreens, amazon and eBay.

I would appreciate your thoughts / help on where to track one down. I know it sounds silly, but with limited space in a lunchbox, I can't do a larger one.

I love to have her add her own condiments to her meal. (I have mini ketchup bottles, salt/pepper, jam, salad dressing containers, maple syrup, etc all of which are used in their boxes at different times).

I really would love to find this. Any help would be appreciated.

If you see one, while you are shopping, please purchase it for me, I am good for the $ and shipping, etc. I am good if more than one of my eat.at friends finds one, I could always use a spare (As my dd has learned the hard way!)

TIA for help!

Best,

Barb

Can you go to the drugstore and buy a plastic jar that might be used for travel? Or at

World Market they have various size jars for spices.
Buy an appropriate size container of spices and empty it?

It looks like they carry it at Jewel-Osco if anyone has those nearby. Barb, I will

look the next time I go to Cost Plus, sometimes they have things like that there.

Good luck replacing!

I don't have any suggestions, however I want to give you praise for making your kids lunches

every day. So many children don't even get breakfast let alone a good healthy lunch especially with all the goodies. You are a good mommy!

I tried that, but unfortunately, my kids like the "shake", if I put it in a small container, which

have done (I used the small containers that are used for soy sauce from chinese take out)..._) But they like the ambiance / food drama created with putting out their shaker and using their condiments.

Thanks for the idea!

I am on a hunt!

I found that one also Lisa and I have never heard of it either. I'll talk

with the grocery manager at Publix when I go next time and see if it's available to get in barb.

...until you find the *real* thing, maybe an old spice jar with big hole plastic inside

cap, filled and covered with a faux label from the printer and pasted on.

I have done a search for this online and could not find any reference to that size, plus

I checked Amazon, Walmart...nothing. I suspect that small container has been discontinued. I also did a search for 1.25 shaker dispensing containers and found out that many spice blends come in that size. I bet if you went to the grocery store, or health food store, you could find one. Just move the spice blend to another container. Good Luck

This is a great idea. If you thought the holes were not large enough

you probably could enlarge them a bit with a drill, like a dremel tool. Just use a bit the size you would need. And you could also use a glass paint with a brush to purdy it up.

The "problem" (as if this is a REAL problem), is that there is not a cover...so, the cheese will

spill out into the lunchbox.

But I like the creativity!

Maybe call Kraft and profess your undying love for this little shaker? (I'm serious!)

Best-case scenario: they have a few lying around, and can send you one.

Worst-case scenario: they send you coupons. smileys/wink.gif
