ISO: ISO: 10 or 20 folks to share an order for 1,000 disposable bread pans from FinerKitchens?

It's a great deal...only 28¢ a piece! I usually make around 30 small breads (cranberry, banana, pumpkin) for Christmas gifts anyway and this would be perfect 'cause they're so darn cute and I'm real lazy. Plus, the unused ones won't go bad, unlike my fruit cake.

If at least 10 folks (100 pans each/$28) or 20 folks (50 pans each/$14) sign up, I'll place the order and handle redistributing them myself.

Any takers?

Count me in! Maybe this will inspire me to make breads for the holidays! (m)

Thanks for coordinating Marilyn. Let's see if we have enough takers.

Barb

Hey! This is great! Thanks Marilyn! I'll happily go in with ya!

50 for me, please! Thanks for the email. Thought I'd better check in as I've had several email me the last week or so. I'm still kickin! It's just been a very stressful summer here.

Thanks for the offer! smileys/smile.gif

(((hugs)))

Well, the description says...

"They are made of pure cellulose calendered paper and are micro-flute corrugated with micro-perforations to eliminate excess humidity."

It's the "micro-perforations to eliminate excess humidity" that is my concern. It makes me think more of yeast breads or very dry breads like Irish Soda, etc.

What do you think?

I just called FinerKitchens customer service and

the girl I talked to said she didn't know the technical aspects of how to use them, but that she has baked a lemon bread in one. All the information she has is what is in the description from the manufacturer.

That's all she could tell me. I guess maybe watching baking time (as always!) would help!

Well, you're way ahead of me. I've just been searching the Internet for more info

and I find the same description. Can't find a link to the home company.

(Have determined that FK definitely has the best price.)

I've never even seen these around here to buy one and do a test run.

Poop.

Marilyn, I'm sure quick bread is fine in these. I had similar ones several years back...

And I only used them for quick breads at the holiday season. I'm 99.9% positive they are made for this purpose.

I'm not scared at all to order them for that reason!

BTW, thanks for the Israel photo albums. You are a very talented photographer as well as writer, baker, chef! smileys/smile.gif

Blessings to ya!

Marilyn, I have seen these at Sur La Table and also in the (m)

King Arthur Flour Catalog. I'm sure they will be fine for baking quick breads.

PS Just spoke to a person at Sur La Table That uses these all the time. (m)

Said ok for quick breads. Hope this answers some questions.
