I'm hoping some of you may have a favorite recipe book that you love and can recommend -- I searched on Amazon and just came up with too many results. The ice cream maker I got is a Cuisinart and makes 1-1/2 quarts.

Thanks all!

Sorry, no book, but recipe idea

Don't have cookbook/icecream books in mind, sorry.

But I used to make a honey & caramel icecream that wasn't too shabby. If you want, I'll try and dig out the recipe smileys/smile.gif

This sounds so delicious.

We used to have a place that made ice cream with honey. It has been closed quite a few years but I still remember it.

Vavroom.. please post Honey & Caramel Ice Cream recipe when you find it. Thanks!! NT

Yes, please post it when you can.

We harvest honey with our neighbors and have our own wildflower honey. I'd love to be able to make this and to share it with the other honey harvesters. The Honey Fest is usually in September which is the end of the summer here.

Some Dyslexic Chocolate souce would go well, along with some cute sprinkles, etc.

Goodness - I need a new keyboard, or a finger transplant.

I have 5 ice cream books, David's is the one I reach for every time. I think

it should be included with an ice cream maker purchase! Easy to read, great recipes, and the directions are clear for the first time ice cream maker. I've made about 1/2 of the recipes in that book and they were all really good (with one exception...the coffee yogurt one. I should have known better...that one doesn't even sound good!) The book also has good recipes for sauces, brownies, and cookies to serve with your ice cream.

Ok, will find recipe

I'll post it when I find it, burried in the garage somewhere!

I'd love to have access to an apicultor (that an English word? In French "Apiculteur" - Someone who raises bees). I want to start brewing mead again! But that's another story entirely smileys/wink.gif

Thanks, that would be great. We've made honey ice cream,

Mainly substituting honey for sugar, but Honey & Caramel sounds fabulous. You probably have some wonderful honeys available to you. I once had some Leatherwood Honey that I think was from Tazmania. It had a very unusual and exotic flavor - wonderful in marinades. It's very hard to find here, but you probably have access to it. I'm jealous.

cheezz, another thought. we have some really good ice cream threads here, and printing out

some of those recipes might be fun to include as well. If I remember, Traca was on quite an ice cream kick last year and posted some wonderful recipes.
