ISO: ISO a good prepared salsa. What brand do you recommend? (Don't mention TJ's - I'm TJ-less)

In Search Of:
I like Herde Salsa Casera

It is fairly mild. I only could get it across in Mexico for several years. However, the last few years it is available in the grocery stores here in SW AZ.

Thank you all for the recommendations. I've been using Pace, but am looking for something better.

I just tried this stuff tonight - Green Mountain Gringo Salsa, and it's the closest thing to fresh

I've ever tasted! (I tried the medium). Plus, it's made right here in Winston Salem, NC, which is pretty near me (I'm in Greensboro).

Thanks for the tip, going to look for it. Most of them are way too salty for me, I like the

low sodium aspect. Lol, actually, I don't think Pace is that bad. Just add some cilantro to it.

I agree - Pace isn't bad, but like many brands, it's too salty. I do add cilantro to it and it

really improves it. The Green Mountain Gringo is so much better, though. It's very low in sodium, and but has more more taste than Pace - it's depending on all the other ingredients for taste, rather than mainly the salt. The flavor is so fresh. Let me know if you try it out!

Correction. It's Rojo. Anyway, we have it in all our stores refrigerated by the dips and guacamole
