Does anyone have a recipe for a mild creamy ranch dressing? Just attended another catered function and loved the ranch dressing...no bite, just mild and creamy and wonderful. I went to America's Test Kitchen but their recipe is no longer available. The bottled stuff is too acidic smileys/frown.gif

TIA!

I will never use the bottled Ranch, as it is tooooo sweet. You cannot get the dry packaged. . .

Ranch Dressing where you live? If you buy the stuff that only requires the package of mix, plus mayo and plain milk, that comes out very mild and tasty. I have only used the "Original Ranch Dressing," not any of the "no name" brands.

You can also get a large package, to make a gallon of Dressing at. . .

Places like Smart and Final, and restaurant food suppliers/sellers.

Thanks! I've made the packaged dressing before but it called for

buttermilk...maybe if I use plain milk it won't be so bitey? I'll also try the CI recipe...maybe w/o the buttermilk as well...maybe try Half & Half? Anyhow, thanks for the tips and recipe. Ann

I like Ken's Buttermilk Ranch. It's available in huge containers here, at

places like Maine's. You might want to pick up a bottle of it first, at your local grocery store, to taste it, but it is very mild and not bite-y at all.
