I've found several via google, but would like a T/T if possible. I'm planning a lunch party where we'll discuss British mystery writers over a pub Ploughman's Lunch. Any suggestions are welcome. TIA

There was a recipe for Melton Mowbry pie by Two Fat Ladies. If I can find my notes I will post it

Welcome Karo! I always think of Branstons Chutney when I think of Ploughmans lunch! YUM!! (m)

Sorry, no recipes for Mowbry Pork Pie...

Hi Karo, sorry to say I could have helped two months ago

I had a cookbook from England that had a foolprof one in it, but in a temporary moment of insanity I went on a big clearout and sent most of my cookbooks to the thrift store. I figured everything I needed was on the internet, but that decision has come back to bite me in the butt a few times now. On the positive side, the kitchen bookshelf is much less cluttered now..I DO, however have a great recipe for Branston Pickle that my Brit husband made last year.Turnip- who knew?

Cath - Would you be willing to share the rec for Branston Pickle!?Turnip?! Who'd have thought!

Karo, I have a TDF recipe from an

Australian cookbook that I can share if you still are looking. But it's at home and I'm not. So it will be tonight at the earliest.

Whoops! I meant to say the party won't be until April so I have

allowed myself plenty of time to practice, freeze ahead, whatever.

Thanks Steve! For some reason, I would never have thought of making it; kind of like a condiment,

I would never think of making ketchup or relish. Thanks for the link!

Regards,
Barb
