Two recipes I received from a french friend for pain d'epices calls for almond powder and anis powder. Has anyone heard of these items? I don't believe they mean almond flour because the recipe calls for 500gr flour and 2 tablespoons almond powder.
And the anis powder - I know of anise extract and anise old...any ideas?
